The

is all about -- FUN!

A Typical Camp Day
Every day at camp starts with a morning
assembly. Campers then rotate through several "classes" with their small
group - drama, music, arts & crafts, games, and dance. After lunch, the campers
visit the pool in two groups. Pool time is one of the best parts of the day.
Campers and counselors have fun together in the water.

Special Event Thursdays
The first two Thursdays of each session are Special Event days at Camp Oasis. The
pool is closed, so we stay indoors and have visiting entertainment. In past years,
we've had magic shows, animal demonstrations, dancers, puppet shows, and more. For
the Summer 2006 season, campers were visited by dancers from Ballet with Cindee Velle's
dance school, Eric Energy, and the Catoctin Widlife Preserve and Zoo. Check out the
pictures of Eric Energy's Yo-Yo show and the Catoctin Zoo's fabulous creatures!

Camp Performances
The end of each session is marked by the Camp Performance. Campers entertain family
and friends with music, dance, and dramatic performances. The campers start working
on their acts the first week of the session, and often create costumes and props to
enhance their performances. Many of the older campers write their own skits for the
show. At the end of the show, the entire camp comes to the stage to lead their
families in the ever famous Camp Oasis Song.
